The word "buriti" comes from the tupi-guarani indigenous language which means "the tree of life" and is also the name of a native palm tree found in South America.
Developed for the competitive screening at the Mapping do Castelo Festival in partnership with the artist Micaelle Lages, this audiovisual artwork is an ode to our roots, culture and the knowledge of the original populations and their importance for our origin, growth and development of all life on earth as an ecosystem.
