This artpiece was comissioned by the Musem of Modern Art of Bahia. Repique is an immersive digital art that proposes a dialectic about the processes of deconstruction and reconstruction based on the investigation of the connection, disconnection and reconnection between Salvador and the Recôncavo Baiano, represented by the collection and history of the MAM - BA.

Taking as a starting point the fluid movement of the waters that bathe both Salvador and the region of Recôncavo Baiano, that are (dis/re)connected, some works from the MAM collection are broken down to their basic graphic element - the pixel. The final piece illuminates a 55-foot indoor projection, bathed in light from three different projectors.
The visuals seek to evoke a constant movement of deconstruction that allows each pixel to carve its own path in a fluid virtual environment. During this movement, just as the Paraguaçu River suffers interference from the weather on its path until it flows into Bahia de Todos-os-Santos, part of the Recôncavo region, the “pixels” generated react in real time to the weather recorded at MAM.
The work originated from the museum's collection database, provided for this creative exploration. The final result unfolds through the analysis of those images that are used as a basis to color each individual pixel. The movement of the pixel is based on a flock simulation whose parameters are controlled by the weather data (wind speed, humidity and temperature) in real-time. The movement of the flock also controls the Reaper soundtrack mix.
This piece has been donated as an NFT and is now part of the Museum of Modern Art of Bahia collection.
