Multimedia artist, software engineer, professor, researcher and creative coder who is passionate about exploring the intersection of AI and computer creativity. With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a Master's degree, and a Ph.D. in Art & Technology, his practice focuses on computer art and AI, with an emphasis on interactive installations and performances.
Recently, Barretto completed a Postdoctoral Research position at the Medialab at the Federal University of Goiás, where he studied the generation of VR and fulldome immersive images using techniques like StyleGAN3 and Stable Diffusion.
As an artist, Barretto has exhibited a series of interactive artworks at various art festivals and exhibitions across Brazil for over 10 years.
Currently working as a Creative Techologist and Machine Learning Engineer mainly using Generative AI (text2img, img2img and text2text).
